Living in the Carolinas, we grow up hunting, living off the land, and believing that our dogs are part family. We also believe that every person in our family has to do their part and set a precedent. That's why our family trains our dogs from birth to be the the highest quality hunting machines. In our experience, the Boykin is one of the easiest dogs to be trained because of their innate desire to adhere to their master's commands and earn his approval. Our Boykins are a highly intelligent breed that learn the most difficult task with easy ability.
The "Little Brown Dog" is a compact animal that should not be underestimated. He's like light artillery. His petite build is perfect for quickly jumping in and out of hunting boats. The saying "the little brown dog won't rock the boat" is oh so true. His agility, maneuvering ability, keen sense of his surroundings, and aptitude make him the ideal bird hunter and tracker.
